Emulator
You can debug your bot conversation using the built-in Emulator in the right-side panel.
Note
To visualize the entire user experience, you should use the Web Channel directly. All the messages you send with the
Emulator come from the same user from the bot's perspective.
Status Indicator
🟠 Training
This indicates that the bot is getting trained using your latest edits in the studio.
🟢 Ready
This indicates that the bot has been trained and is ready for testing in the emulator.
🔴 Error
This indicates that the bot could not be trained and has some errors.
Opening & Closing the Emulator
Press cmd/ctrl + e to toggle the Emulator (Right Panel)
Resend the Same Messages
Pressing ↑ or ↓ on your keyboard in the text input allows you to navigate and resend previously sent messages quickly.
The last 20 messages sent to this bot are persisted in your browser storage.
New Conversation
Go to the 3 dots at the top right corner of the emulator and click on New Conversation. This will erase the history and state from the old conversation and start a new conversation with the same user information.
Start as a new user
Go to the 3 dots at the top right corner of the emulator and click on Start as new user. This will erase the history and state from the old conversation and start a new conversation with different user information.
